TV Dinners: Turn Your Home into a Crime Scene and Host a CSI-Themed Party

Host a CSI–themed evening with our recipes and entertaining tips

Ingredients:
Rubber gloves, an iron stomach, and a copy of Forensic Pathology of Trauma

Preparation:
Put on a lab coat and create/print out background checks on all your guests.

Yield:
A party-friendly buffet starring kidneys, fingers, livers, hearts, and eyeballs

The Menu:
In keeping with CSI's focus on science and autopsies, we've assembled a collection of dishes featuring different organs and body parts, including Chicken Liver Crostini, Kidney Bean Salad, and Fiery Catfish Fingers. We think these recipes will get you in the crime scene investigation mood while also making for a satisfying TV-watching feast. For drinks, we suggest vital fluids such as our Blood and Sand, Bloody Carioca, or Blood Orange French 75.

Party Tip:
To evoke the proper ambience, turn your home into a crime lab, taking guests' fingerprints as they arrive and handing out rubber gloves. You can also set the mood by creating a fake crime scene: Use white tape to form the outline of a body and hang yellow crime scene tape across the door. If you think your friends are up for it, before or after the show, stage a fake murder and get everyone involved in solving it.
