Some simple Cooking Tips.

1) Assure the quality of the main ingredient.

Boneless Chilli Chicken

Ingredients:

  1. Boneless Chicken     400    g
  2. Eggs  -slightly beaten    2    nos.
  3. Corn Flour     ½    cup
  4. Onion -chopped coarsely    1    cup
  5. Ginger-Garlic Paste     1    tbsp
  6. Green Chillies      4    nos.
  7. Soya Sauce     1    tbsp
  8. Vinegar     1    tbsp
  9. Oil for deep frying    2    cup
  10. Water     ½    cup
  11. Salt to taste    1    tsp

Description:

  1. Mix the egg,corn flour,ginger-garlic paste and salt by using enough water.
  2. Coat the chicken pieces with the batter and leave it for 1/2 an hour.
  3. Heat the oil and fry the chicken pieces.
  4. Drain the fried chicken pieces on an absorbent paper.
  5. Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a frying pan, and stir-fry the onions and green chillies.
  6. Add the salt, soya sauce, vinegar into it and stir it.
  7. Finally add the fried chicken pieces and mix it well.
  8. Serve it hot.

If you look at the ingredients you can see that Chicken is the main ingredient and it is going to constitute 80% of the dish. The taste of the dish can vary widely based on the quaility of Chicken we use.If we use meat of a old bird it tends to be harder.This single point can spoil your entire dish even if we follow all the steps religiously.Another typical example is the use of Fresh meat instead of frozen meat. Fresh meat dish will always taste better.

2) Customize the recipe to suit our guests.

Most of the recipes will have the ingredients, as per their authors taste buds.Depending on our audience we may need to modify them.

Specifically the quantity of Chilli,Salt and Sauces may have to be revisited.

3) Decorate Food Before serving.

The appearance of our dish should be visually pleasing.Appearance and smell of the food plays a vital role in improving the taste of the food.There are cooks who judge the food purely with the aroma.
