User post: Easy Macaroni & Cheese

Try this warm comfort  food.  Any type of pasta shape is good. You can add veges, ham or cooked chicken to it.  The uncooked pasta bakes in the milk and it is so quick and easy.

Baked Macaroni & Cheese

4 tablespoons melted margarine
2 cups uncooked pasta
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
4 cups milk
1/4 teaspoon each salt, pepper, & onion flakes
breadcrumbs

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Use an ungreased 9 x 13 pan.
Pour margarine in pan.
Add uncooked pasta and stir.
Add cheese, salt, pepper, onion.
Pour milk over top.
Top with a sprinkling of breadcrumbs.
Bake for 40-50 minutes.

Is this easier than the stuff that comes in the box that I just need to add boiling water to?

This is far easier than cooking my pasta and thickening my sauce. I'll definately give this a shot the next time I'm making mac and cheese.

Well, I tried this recipe last night. I didn't use the onion flakes because I just didn't have them. It came out REALLY GOOD. I was quite surprised that the noodles cooked up soft and the sauce had a really good taste. Would recommend this to everybody. Took 1 minute to throw everything into the dish and then I just put it in the oven. Waited 40 minutes... and wa la... A++
