User post: How I had drinks till 2, ate fast food and never broke 120lbs..

As you might know, my posts are not for the sugar conscious society..

I used to drink stuff like Corona, Woo Woo shots, Mudslides, Margaritas...many a many kind of things that you just drink down and head back out to the dance floor.

Since I don't have any drinks to write about, I thought I'd tell a short insight...

Not fictional, but I don't think that I would advise anyone to try this.
In a backflash to Los Angeles and some short skirts later... I remember that I used to drink, eat fast food and dance while pretty much never gaining more than a pound or so.

Well, I know that a youthful metabolism also had to do with it, but my friends and I used to dance to high paced music (115+BPM) for about 4 hours a night for about 3 nights a week.  I often listen to this music on friday when I clean now ( oh..how exciting!) because it gets my body worked up to do things faster.  I have never been a "take your time" type of cleaner but I do want it done..so go figure.

So what's the point?  I noticed that when you dance to this high paced music that it's really like Aerobics.  You can really start breathing heavily and break a sweat.  So...much love to dance music and not gaining too much weight.

Take Care of you and all you love...

Jen

PS.  This is not posted in Healthy Living because my drinks are not healthy...just fun...ya know

I got it right: dancing will really release your sweats, your stress and will take away your problems from your head,at least for sometime.

I don't care what age you are, you have hit on a great workout. I am 42 and thinner than I have ever been. I have three kids. I love to run and lift weights, but you sure are right, dancing can be a real workout, if you do it fast enough and long enough. You can't beat a workout that is more "fun" than "work".

I love dancing, and you're right, it's a great workout. It's fun and for those who are the type to hate working out, it's a way to do it without getting bored. Even the slower dances are good because it helps stretch the worked muscles, and can really help with flexibility.

It's called genetics and metabolism. Most people can't boast of the same luck. Enjoy it and congratulations!
