User post: Oreo Spider Cookies

This is a quick, easy, and kid-friendly Halloween treat.  These are always the first to disappear at kids' parties. All you need are a few store-bought ingredients.

Oreo Spider Cookies

1 package of Oreo cookies, try to find the orange colored cream-filled variety

1 can of vanilla frosting

1 big bag of Halloween M&M's candy

1 bag of thin pretzel sticks

  1. Open the tops off the cookies.
  2. Break the prezel sticks in half. and place 3 per side on each cookie. Place a small amount of frosting on top of the pretzel to secure it in place.  Put top of cookie back on.
  3. Use a small amount of vanilla frosting and add M&M eyes to the cookie tops.

Enjoy.

Shouldn't spiders have four legs on each side? Otherwise it's just a bug. Trust me the kids will notice.

Arachnids have 8 legs, not 6.

    Hi,

Cute idea for my 5 yr old granddaughters after school crew. It is easy for my daughter in law to pick up the ingredients and fast..... The kids can have fun on one of our frequent up-state New York rainy days.

I doubt that they will mind only 6 legs as they munch the pieces parts of their spider, and probably before they get one completed. LOL

Oh I absolutley love this idea! Can't wait to make them. And I agree, I don't think 3 or 4 legs really matter. LOL
