What's for dinner?
user
This week's easy and delicious recipe picks from
Shine...
Monday
Beef and Orange Stir-Fry
When cutting the beef into strips, slice against the grain (across
the striated fibers); the result will be meat that is much more
tender. Cutting the orange crosswise allows the connective tissues
to stay in place, so the slices are less likely to break apart when
tossed with the beef. Serve the dish with white rice.
Tuesday
Lemon and Olive Chicken
Wednesday
Turkey Quesadillas
Thursday
Roasted Ratatouille With Eggs and Cheese
Friday
Vietnamese-Style Beef and Noodle Soup
Saturday
Blackened Salmon Sandwich
Sunday
Pizza With Pesto, Tomatoes, and Feta

The lemon/olive chicken sounds good. It might be overkill on the lemon slices though. Lemon rind overpowers. Some lemon zest would be enough to add that citrus flavor. I'd probably add some tarragon .

I don't want any Ratspatootie! Plus, who wants that nasty "feet" cheese on their pizza? Ooooh, yuckie! But, I guess this one is a little better than their last list.

I can't think of many things that are more unhealthy than white rice. It's white because they've scrubbed all of the nutrition off! Why oh why is it continuously suggested??? Why not brown rice? It's a nice healthy alternative.

That's a big fat pass there good buddy. None of those ideas would go over well in my house, myself included. Do you honestly think small kids are going to want to eat a blackened salmon sandwich?

I agree...these suppers are not very appetizing and some are way too much work.

I'm sorry, but my 14 and 16 year olds would not touch any of these meals.
