  1. Showering: In the span of a minute, a shower gives off about 2.5 gallons of water. So in just ten minutes, that's 25 gallons already. A simple suggestion to help preserve the water you use is to simply shut it off when you don't need to use it. Like shaving your legs for example. That can take up a bit of time and there's no point in letting the water flow. And you also won't have to worry about rinsing off your shaving spray, cream, etc, while you're working on it.
  2.  Unplug: Electricity is a luxury we all love, but it's expensive. Did you know that even though you aren't using something, but it's still plugged in, that it's still sucking up little bits of energy every minute? (Vampire Plugs) That's costing you little bits of money and little bits can add up. So start unplugging your unused electronics and stop throwing away your money.
  3. Recycle: Whether it's paper, cans, or bottles, recycling is always a great easy step in helping preserve the planet. Setting up an extra box next to your trashcan for recyclables is something anyone can do. And did you know that if you turn them in to your local recycle center that you can get a little bit of money for it?
  4. Carpooling/ Bus: If you go to school and you have a car, odds are you drive to school. Cars take gas, gas gives pollution, gas takes money, we don't like giving money and hopefully you don't like polluting the air. If you've got a bus stop near by, why not take the bus? It saves your gas and money and your air. Lol. Anyone's tribute can make a difference.
  5. Grocery shopping is pretty common lol. Paper or plastic? I say neither. Now days, grocery stores have reusable (reasonably priced) bags for shoppers. Just one of these reusable bags can hold about the equivalent of 2 and a half full plastic bags. That's better then having to lug around a ton of bags, that may possibly break. The reusable bags are made of cotton and are very durable. In any case of shopping, I recommend these awesome Earth savers to all shoppers anytime anywhere.
