Biggest Loser Club: All you can eat

Yes, there's one food group that you can eat with abandon. And it's nutrient dense, meaning you get a lot of value for the calories consumed. Hear Bob utter the magic word...

Food temptations are everywhere during the holidays. Below are tips from Biggest Losers on how to enjoy the holidays and still keep your program intact.

- Don’t go to the party or holiday meal famished. Being too hungry will set you up for gorging. Focus on those foods that you love, eat slowly, and give yourself permission to savor them. Another strategy is to bring some of your own healthy food to share.

- Try to arrange activities with your friends that don’t include food, such as going to the movies, a concert, or a play—or do something active together, like skiing or ice-skating. This strategy works all the time, not just around the holidays.

Since I relocated permanently to the Philippines in 2000 (I'm not Filipino), I have eliminated all processed meats, chicken and fish from my diet and have reduced my general beef intake by 90%. I eat a lot of vegetables, rice, and do not smoke (never smoked). I eat grits almost every day ~ freshly ground locally from white corn, and I also eat one small tub or yogurt daily at breakfast. I never touch "hard" liquor, but do enjoy a couple of San Miguel beers each day. I feel great. I don't look my age (65); resemble a guy 35. Still have brown hair, no wrinkles, and great body. But a regimen of diet and exercise combo is necessary.

    Good Day,

I am a 52 year old male. December 2007 I weighed 256 lbs. Height is 5'11" Today is 11-11-2008 I wiegh 167.4 lbs. I feel great have lots of energy, and feel like I am 35 years of age.

The loss of my old eating habits, of red meat, fried foods, and other nasty processed habits are gone. I eat yogurt, fresh chicken, fish, veg. and fruit. Salads with a combination of Fresh fruit and veg. are not only great tasting, but filling.

Start off with Yes, Water. Drink plenty of it. Have a 16 oz glass 15 to 20 minutes prior to a meal. This is a great way to start loosing that extra 70 lbs you to not need.

Good luck to all that really want to be a Big Looser. Even if you have only 5 -10 lbs to loose it will work.
