Great news for all you blueberry lovers out there...
According to
new research, the berries may whittle your waist! In the study,
rats that were fed blueberry extract lost more belly fat (the type
of fat linked to heart disease, diabetes and too-tight waistbands!)
than those who didn't have the berry benefit. Though the study
authors note that more research is needed to confirm that the
results will hold true with humans, adding an extra serving of
these deliciously sweet antioxidant-rich fruits is always a good
idea in my book! Here are my favorite SELF-approved ways to eat
blueberries (beside by the handful, of course!).
Make a sweet blueberry salad with spinach, walnuts, blueberries,
crumbled goat cheese and grapefruit segments. Yum!
