Brazillian papers cast sticks and stones about Karolina Kurkova's flesh and bones
partner
I've never heard of
Karolina Kurkova, which apparently means I've been living under a rock because
Forbes lists her as one of the highest earning supermodels around. I guess if she doesn't guest judge on
ANTM or
Project Runway, apparently I have no use for her. But recently, the
Vickie's Secret model has come under fire of the Brazillian press for having something they call
"cellulite" and "back fat".
Horrors! The audacity! How dare she have something possessed by 90
percent of women with a BMI over 16. If you can read Portuguese, check
out the
shock and dismay about "a
modelo mostrou que tem celulite no bumbum e na coxa."
I
couldn't find a translation for "bumbum," but I'm totally adopting that
for myself. Although, seriously, if Karolina's got a bumbum, then mine
is more like a bumbumbum.

This is the craziest thing I have ever heard. She's gorgeous. It's so sad expecially after all that hoopla about models being too skinny.

I would like to see how the people judging her look. If anything I would say she is too skinny. But too fat? Never. Thats insane.

I am going to print this and put it on my fridge to remind me that you can't "re-touch" reality! All the printed images in magazines and catalogs don't show us that these women stuggle with the same issues that all of us do....
