Does Exercise Make Sex Better?

By Laurel House for ExerciseTV

What’s the first thing you think about when it comes to the benefits of exercise? Sex of course! Well… maybe it’s not your first thought, but considering how beneficial exercise is when it comes to your libido and sexual aptitude, it’s time to pay it a bit more attention.

Get Your Blood Flowing

"The Skinny's" “Exercise Makes Sex Better,” exposes one of the more enjoyable benefits of exercise: a more satisfying sex life. In fact, sex itself IS exercise as Zen Gray, host of "The Skinny" points out, “Sex is great exercise, actually." But let's put that aside for now. Anything that gets your blood flowing (ahem) is going to help increase stamina and sensation. So, go dancing! Take a hike! Try one of those strip tease classes! Do some squats while you're at your desk. Crunch your abs while you're driving. Breathe deep. Just add some movement to your life. The more the better.” And the better the workout the more (sex that is).

Better Sex Starts With Feeling Sexy!

Zen says, "Personally, when I finish a tough workout I feel really proud of myself for getting through it. That sense of pride makes me strut my stuff, ya know? Feeling confident is a big part of feeling sexy, I think, and exercise certainly helps me look and feel better.

But, the second part of the equation is that exercise helps the body FUNCTION better in all aspects, including sex. If you’re too winded to get to the top of the stairs, how well do you think you’ll be able to perform in the bedroom? Working out can help you go the distance… in more ways than one. Energy and stamina, people! Go get it!"

More of "The Skinny"

People are STRESSED!” says Zen. “I dole out stress relief in small doses: humor, exercise, lifestyle, diet, motivation. We don't need more drill instructors yelling at us to do more pushups. We like to be entertained and INSPIRED to work out. No one likes to be shamed and harassed into doing it.”

More than tying up your sneakers for the benefit of knocking boots, "The Skinny" is all about incorporating health and fitness into everyday life. In an upcoming webisode, Zen will touches on what not to wear to the gym" (Definitely something those of us in LA should pay close attention to!)

My point? Tune in, or you’ll miss out on the action!

Exercise makes everything better in my life. It's not my favorite thing to do, but I don't feel right when I go too long without it. It's a part of my lifestyle I don't intend on ever giving up.

I love Zen Gray and The Skinny!! It's so true, when I exercise everything in my life is just better. After I lost my job I couldn't afford gym membership fees anymore and without an excuse to workout I stopped and gained weight. A friend told me about ExerciseTV and since then I've been totally obsessed. Give it a try!

I love ExerciseTV! I use it all the time when I'm too lazy to leave the house and go to the gym. :-) Plus, there are so many workouts so even with my gnat-like attention span, I still find a way to work out 4 days a week! Thanks for the great article... I'm definitely going to check out the Skinny!

I agree with Zen 100%. Who doesn't love to feel better and have a sexy time while working out?

I find that anytime that I workout, especially on my legs and inner thigh muscles, I become very horny. my theory is that I have increased the blood flow to my lower extremities (Extremity). So if I am able to contain myself until my mate is ready then she receives the repercussions of my work out. That also includes a cardio too!

Exercise is empowering and energizes anyone that does exercise daily. I think the key is to exercise daily. I know a lot of folks my age(the over-fifety group)just don't try getting enough of it. They might try seeing beyond to the future and try understanding, though,it can make them live longer for their families, which is most important.
