Eat Like Me: My healthy vacation breakfast

We have been doing a lot of walking in and out of town but this morning I took an "exercise" walk just to get my heart rate up and feel the burn a little. This island is a very beautiful place so being outside is enjoyable no matter what you are doing! We are headed to the beach once our friends arrive from the ferry and drop their bags off - I hope to go for a swim but the waves and undertow were pretty strong the other day so I was nervous. I snacked on a little dry cereal and dried fruit before I went out for my walk (I just used one of my pre-made trail mix packs and left the nuts and chocolate behind. When I got back I ate a bagel with yogurt and fresh blueberries. Now it's time to put on some sunblock, drink more water and think of something to pack for my lunch at the beach! Have a good day!

From this bowl I ate about 0.5 ounces whole grains (1/2 cup cereal) and 0.5 cup fruit (1/4 cup raisins & apricots).

This Meal Provides Approximately: Grains = 3 ounces (-whole), Fruit = 0.75 cup, Milk = 0.75 cup, Discretionary Calories = 50 kcals (sweetened yogurt)
