Follow up! The Guy Ritchie anti-sex cookie diet debacle

The Cookie Diet doctor guy has responded to Madonna's claim that her husband, Guy Ritchie, lost his ardor while following the controversial diet.

"There are many factors that can contribute to a reduced sex drive in overweight people," said Dr. Siegal. "For some the problem is psychological. For others there may be physical causes such as hypothyroidism. My experience with my own patients during the past 50 years is that when we correct their metabolic problem and get them to a healthy weight their sex drive significantly rebounds."

Wait, he's blaming Ritchie's loss of turgidity on the fact that Guy Ritchie was overweight? Except, er, no, I'm not seeing it. And if he was feeling randy before he started to diet, then it would follow that he was enjoying the horizontal mambo with Madge while he was "overweight." If the introduction of Diet Cookie coincides with the cessation of Hot Nookie, then it would follow that the two are somehow connected, yes? Of course, if this were an episode of House, M.D., then Madonna didn't know the entire story (i.e. what else was Ritchie doing to lose weight?) and really, Guy had eaten weird sushi and then gone to the bathroom, passing the rare Peruvian spiny fish larva from his fingers to his penis and it somehow made him feel a little less frisky. But apply Occam's razor and the smart money is still on the fact that an 800-calorie-a-day diet makes you too tired to bone.
