There are a lot of bloggers talking about poverty today. There's a reason for this: it's Blog Action Day, an annual one-day event where bloggers from around the world post about the same issue on the same day to raise awareness and spark a global discussion. This year's theme is poverty.
While there are plenty of factors that affect your health, economic status, no doubt, plays a huge role. If you've got health insurance, you're more likely to get the preventative care you need. If you don't have health insurance, or you've got scanty coverage, you may put off health problems until they're dire. Plus, if you've got money, you're more likely to get the nutrients you need. If you don't, you probably eat only what you can afford. Often, that means eating unhealthy fast or processed food.
