Go with the glow: a handy way to remember your prescription
user
It sounds simple enough. Your doctor gives you a prescription to
take one pill a day. But by day four, you realize you've
forgotten one of those daily doses. So do you take two pills? Call
the doctor? Wish you’d used the
Vitality GlowCaps system?
It’s estimated that half
a million people take at least one pill a day, and adherence is a
common issue. Busy parents, business travelers, seniors living
alone, and kids -- we all forget at some time or another. GlowCaps
can help you remember. These battery-operated caps fit standard
pharmacy vials (tightly), and when it's time to take your
medicine, the cap will glow for an hour. After that, a melody will
play for another hour as a gentle but persistent reminder. If you
still don’t get the message, Vitality’s system can initiate an
automated telephone call. GlowCaps can even remind you to order
refills from your pharmacy.
The issue of medication
adherence is a personal one for David Rose, CEO of Vitality and a
GlowCap user himself. He and his father (pictured here on the left)
depend on these Internet-connected pill caps and each other to
stick to their prescription regimen.
In today's busy world, who needs more to remember?

I think this is a stupid idea the internet does not help with any of that. That's why the prescription bottles come with nurses, pharmists, and instruction labels right on the bottle to aid in anyway to prevent any problamatic situations
