WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama has gotten a seasonal flu shot.
An administration official says Obama received the shot Tuesday afternoon. Other members of the Obama family had already been vaccinated.
No word on a swine flu shot for the president.
Obama previously has said he'd wait his turn before lining up to be vaccinated against the new H1N1 strain of flu. Children, young adults, pregnant women and health care workers are urged to be among the first to get the H1N1 vaccine.
Why is this a top story? AND, why do they feel the need to
inform us that the most powerful and protected man in the world
(and his family)have been vaccinatedagainst the ol' run of the
mill flu, but have yet to receive vaccinations against this
potentially fatal, not to mention pandemic, strain of
influenza?
I agree that the above mentioned individuals should be considered a
priority, but seriously...Couldn't we, the American people,
spare a couple of extra shots for our highly susceptible, world
traveling commander in chief and his family? After all, the vaccine
is safe...right?
