Healthy Eating Made Easy

user

Do you find you and your family eating out too much?  Are you looking for ways to eat healthy conveniently?  If you plan ahead, you and your family can eat healthier meals, save time and money.

  1. Meal planning - Dinner can be healthy and inexpensive.  If you buy cookbooks which show you how to cook healthy meals cheaply while saving time.  These books will help you the most because they take the guesswork out of figuring out what ingredients are in a healthy meal.  I recommend the following books:  5 Meals for $5 - How to Feed 5 People 5 Meals for $5.00 - $8.00 or Less! You Don't Need to Be Wealthy To Eat Healthy,, Cook Yourself Thin: Skinny Meals You Can Make in Minutes and Biggest Loser Family Cookbook: Budget-Friendly Meals Your Whole Family Will Love.  You can also click here to check out my review of these books.
  2. Grocery Shopping - Once you know what you are going to cook and have a list of what you need to buy, it is time look at the grocery store circular to see what you need to buy.  Make sure you check you cabinets before you put an item on the list so that you don't waste money buying duplicate items.  Click here to find out how to save money on groceries.
  3. Schedule time to cook - Make time to cook once a week. I generally cook about 3 large meals on Sunday to last for the week, then I store the food in a vacuum sealed bag by using a foodsaver. It takes about 2 hours from start finish. By storing the food in convenient portions, it stays fresh and you can put the bags in the microwave. This aids clean up time. Click here for more information on the foodsaver.

Using these steps will have you and family eating healthy while saving time and money.  Now that I use these tips I no longer have a headache on my way home from work.
