How To Get A Celebrity Body

It’s not just guys oogling at Cameron Diaz’s legs, Jen Aniston’s arms, and Megan Fox’s abs… Now stop drooling and start sculpting your own spotlight-worthy physique!

 By Laurel House

Similar to hair dressers, it’s not uncommon for regular Janes to hire a trainer and the first thing out of her mouth is “can you give me Jennifer Aniston arms, Cameron Diaz legs and Megan Fox abs?” Assuming that these star-struck ladies aren’t asking to be made into Madame Tussaud wax figures of those coveted celebrity bodies, we think we can be of assistance. Well… with a little help from Kathy Kaehler, ExerciseTV trainer, yes, “to the stars” whose clients have included Julia Roberts, Michelle Pfiefer, and Jennifer Aniston. You can also check out her Hollywood Hot workout on ExerciseTV.

BURN FAT FIRST

Regardless of the area you want to work, Kathy stresses the overall importance of the two key body slimming components: Diet and Cardio. Once you address the fat, you can hone in on working to tone your underlying muscles.

Cardio: Cardiovascular exercises like walking, swimming, bike riding, and cardio classes will trim the fat and burn calories. For best results, do 60 minutes of cardio 3-5 days a week.

Diet: Your diet must consist of low-fat, high-fiber foods, plus lots of fruits and veggies and plenty of water if you want to keep your body fat low and your muscle tone showing.

GET LEGS LIKE CAMERON DIAZ

Yeah, they’re pretty awesome. A lifelong commitment to sports or dance, plus genetics comes into play for that type of legs for days gams. Sadly, most of us aren’t lucky enough to have naturally long, lean, toned, and tight legs like Cameron, but there are definitely exercises that you can do to try to shape of our legs no matter the length, shape or size. Kathy suggests that you work your legs 3-4 times a week in addition to your basic cardio.

Nothing’s Like Lunges: The best leg exercise that Kathy uses for her celeb clients are Walking Lunges. Increase the intensity by holding light hand weights or wearing a weighted vest like the X2vest. Then throw in squats, leg extensions, leg curls, step ups and be sure to try the Quick Fix Butt Lift video below. Yes, these are hard. Yes, people can’t stand them. But that’s how you know they’re effective.

Hike: Hiking and step aerobics really target the quads (front of the thigh), hamstrings (the back of the thigh), and glutes (the butt).

GET ARMS LIKE JENNIFER ANISTON

Kathy reminds us that, no matter how bad you want them, “you can't have Jennifer's arms. They are hers. Everyone is unique with their own shape to their arms.” But do the best you can and you will get your body’s best results.

Hone and Tone: To tone and shape your arms, you will need to isolate and exercise the individual muscles. Hone in on the biceps, triceps, front middle and back of the shoulder, plus the lats and chest to help shape the whole arm area. Strength train at least twice a week.

GET ABS LIKE MEGAN FOX

If you want to sculpt your abs like Megan Fox, your focus is getting them flat and tight. How?

Attack the Abs from All Sides: If you want to tighten and tone your entire abdominal section like Megan Fox, you’ve got to attack the abs from all sides with a variety of exercises. You can work them most days of the week. Start with at least 2 sets, 20-30 reps of each exercise. Kathy likes:

*Side-Lying Hip Lifts

*Bicycle Abs

*Plank Holds

*Reverse Crunches with a small ball

*Pilates Hundreds

You may not have a red carpet to walk or paparazzi documenting your every move, but you can have a media frenzy-worthy body if you work hard enough to sculpt it.
