Is any one getting sick of the way the doctor's use the everything is in your head answer.

I have noticed that Doctor's new line of defence is, it's in your head or are you nervous when they can't be bothered of don't have an answer. It's so annoying. You could be telling them you are in pain ,or what ever and if their office is jammed or you are in the emergengy room , this seems to be the answer of choice. I am not refering to someone whom wants attention or is neurotic. I understand they are out there. Yet when you have a valid complaint it seems like it's an easy out for them. My gyn. was told by my urologist that I  had an a small growth on one of my overies. I saw my gyn. immediately. She ran some blood tests and took a biopsy of my tissue. Great ,right? The test came back ok she then basically blew me off. She is a very busy doctor whom sees many patients in a day. With the next week or so I went back and told her something did'nt feel right. She did a micro-fast exam and said it was nothing that I must be stressed out. Within the next week I called again the pain had started to get worse . They took four days to get back to me ,booked me in a spot that was already taken,so they cancelled it. I had to wait another 4 days to see her as she was on vacation. I ended up in the emergency room where they told me I had a huge growth on my overy. They told me to see my doctor and did nothing for me. I was in so much pain I cannot tell you. She finally saw me the next day at her office.  I had to wait as she did'nt want to disrupt her returning schedule. Even the nurses were telling her . She just brushed it away with her hand. I was almost passing out now from the pain . Finally she comes in the room and has the nerve to tell me maybe I should go home and rest with some pain killers till tomm. I WAS HAVING TROUBLE WALKING AT THIS POINT. Finally she gives in and says ok go to the hospital ,we'll do the surgery later that day. What a crock! I did'nt see her until 2:00 the next day in surgery. This is with no food ,and suffering till she decided to show up. She finally does the surgery and when I'm coming too she blurts out ,yea you were right it was alot bigger than I thought. Ghee thanks idiot! She tells me she'll be back to see me later ,never see her again. The next time I see her is back in her office and she seems all proud of her self as if she did me a favor.I guess it was all in my head right? This is just one example but I have heard and seen enough to make your head spin. I think all it's become is a money making machine and how many people they can cram in. The old fashioned doctor caring about his patient is now gone. They do the basics and want  to get you out as fast as possible so the can see the next. Hospitals are run the same too. It's so sad . I'm not bad mouthing every doctor out here. I'm sure there are some wonderful ones left but it seems this is the direction medicine seems to be taking. They are trying to cram too many people in to make money and in the end your care suffers. What do you think. Have you noticed this trend too.
