Now when you're doing one of her workouts with her trainer at one of her gyms while nearly cleansing the you-know-what out of your bod, you can get all kinds of crazy on the Reformer to one of her Party Jams playlists.
The ten-song playlists were contributed by DJs like Samantha Ronson and other "super cool music experts", Gwyneth writes on her lifestyle site GOOP. As much as I've criticized Gwynnie for crowning herself a health guru, I do think putting together mix CDs is a good fit for her. I think this even though EW.com likens the playlists to "pretty much the same stuff you and the guys at the old Columbia/BMG "12 CDs for a penny" warehouse did back in 1993" (ohhh, this made me laugh -- good one, guys -- and wonder if I still have a strike on my credit report for not fulfilling those cassette tape commitments).
I think this works much better for her than her banana nut muffin recipe, she is a music industry insider and holds up her cell phone while watching her husband and bestie play gazillions of shows. Plus, I personally really like the songs she says she's jamming to these days.
I'm not kidding. I have every single one of the songs on her playlist on my own iPod. I am not going to run out and get her Pilates DVD or buy any of the couture kiddie clothes she recommends, but I can give her props for her playlist. And I may even work out to it. Maybe.
In her own GOOP-y words, "Looks good to me. Get your mother lovin' dance shoes on...Love, Gwyneth."
Here's Gwyneth's party jam playlist. Would you work out to it?
