Do you ever find yourself eating something you normally don't even like? For instance, I do NOT enjoy yellow cake with chocolate frosting, yet when I made cupcakes from yellow cake topped with chocolate frosting the other day, I commenced to eat not one, not two, but FOUR of them! I mean, seriously, I do not even enjoy the taste! Am I the only one that does this?
Whenever I do this sort of thing (which seems to be becoming a more frequent occasion), I think back to an episdode of the WB (you remember that right? before the CW) show "What I Like About You." In this episode,Jennie Garth's character Val eats seven mounds bars. She binged on the first four, then ate the last three because she was freaked out that she had just eaten four Mounds bars. Sometimes, I feel like that too. I cannot believe the amount of calories I stuff into my mouth just because my mind tells me I want. No matter if I'm full or even if I'm usually repulsed by this certain dish, I MUST have it.
Am I the only one like this? How do you deal with these impulses?

Report AbuseYeah, I used to HATE peanut butter but find myself eating it and not always small bits, that as I can relate results in scary calories and weight gain.
I would first start with this; Do you have any extra or hard things going on in your life right now? If its emotional eating it happens so quick, you dont always see the association (I say that from experience) Also, have you talked with a doctor about this? I would encourage you to do so if you feel this is getting out of control, ya know? Oh and, No, your not alone!!!
