Stop binge eating disorder from letting life pass you by

user

One of my favorite quotes that helped me realize that binge eating disorder was stopping me from truly living my life is from Diane Ackerman:  "I don't want to get to the end of my life and find that I have just lived the length of it.  I want to have lived the width of it as well."

It's such a great quote on just living your life in general, but when applied it to binge eating disorder, it makes a huge difference.  It makes you think about all that binge eating disorder is holding you back from.  It makes you question whether or not you are actually participating in your life or just letting it pass you by.  I love it!

So many people forget to live his/her life to the fullest.  People become used to routine and doing things simply because they've always done those things.  It's a rarity that people step out of their own comfort zone.  When you don't actually live in your life, it becomes so boring.  And it's also why you turn to food for comfort.  It's something that you've always done and now is a habit.
But, you don't have to let binge eating disorder get you down.  You can start living your life to the maximum right now!

When you want to do something, binge eating disorder related or not, don't let anything get in your way.  Try not to let fear build up inside of you and then force you to give up.  It's so important to never stop challenging yourself to bigger and better things in life.  In self-esteem.  In your relationships.  There are so many opportunities that may come available, and you just don't know until you try.

When you move forward with being an active participant in your life, it will just get better and better.  Learn to expand your comfort zone and discover new things about yourself.  Take that trip you've always wanted to take, learn that language that has always appealed to you, take control of binge eating disorder so that you can finally have a healthy relationship with food once again.  The possibilities of a bigger and brighter future are just around the corner!
