The anticancer milkshake

Cancer accounts for one of every four deaths in this country. Fortunately, there are plenty of ways to reduce the risk of cancer. You should stop smoking, stay physically active, limit saturated fat, and eat plenty of fruits and vegetables. Lucky for you, we have a delicious way to sneak in some extra servings of calcium and fruit.

Calcium-rich foods may reduce colorectal cancer risk. One serving of this low-fat banana shake provides 37 percent of your daily calcium needs.

4 medium-large bananas, peeled and frozen

1 can (12 oz.) 2% evaporated milk

2 tsp. vanilla extract

Blend ingredients until smooth.

(209 calories, 2 grams fat per serving)

Serves 4
