The Best Thing for Coping with Stress: Health Experts Say Get a Pet

Are you a dog owner like Jessica Simpson, whose adorable little Daisy, seems to accompany her everywhere even to promotional events? Maybe you are contemplating the possibility of becoming a pet owner or you simply cannot see yourself ever walking a puppy or cuddling a purring kitty.  Sometimes in life, you just need an escape and somewhere to turn to when things fail to go your way.  Could it be that those individuals who own pets are more likely to overcome the breakup of a significant relationship or other major life crisis, a great deal faster than those without the comfort a cuddly creature to call their own?

Statistics support the fact that pet owners are indeed more blissful, less stressed out and thus, a great deal more likely to rebound from life's heartaches all the quicker.  As anyone living on the planet earth knows, life can sometimes deliver a bag of goods that no one wants to sign for at all.  Let us imagine those individuals who are suffering the pangs of loneliness that accompanies the loss of a loved one, the ending of a career or any unexpected downfall and how much easier it is for them to cope when they have a living thing counting on them for survival.  A living thing that can remind them just how blessed they are to still be in the world even though, things are not exactly perfect right at that moment. Cats and dogs are the top pets for most individuals but even gerbils, fish and even reptiles can bring comfort in an emotional storm, research has shown, so what better incentive for getting a pet of your own?  I wonder how many Shine audience member have found comfort with their own pets when times of trouble came to call.  A pet simply does wonders for the soul as even celebrities like Jessica Simpson would be more than happy to tell you.  After all, how could anyone not love a face like the mug on her little dog's?
