The Unhealthy Mindset behind Ugly Betty.

Isn’t it ironic that people think that the actress playing
Ugly Wudi, China ’s Ugly Betty is not “fat” enough or “ugly” enough
to play the role? (http://video.aol.com/video-detail/chinas-ugly-betty-not-that-ugly/3286857887)
. Aren’t they only emphasizing and highlighting what they believe
to be ugly in the bargain? Doesn’t it really defeat the purpose of
the show itself which tries to underscore the sweetness and charm
of inner beauty?
As for our very own Betty, I‘ve always thought that America Ferrara
is a gorgeous, curvy woman . Now that ABC has decided to put
Ugly Betty on hiatus starting on March 26 th , it would be nice to
see Ferrara in leading romantic movie roles like Jennifer Anniston
and Megan Fox. She certainly has the acting chops. Now waiting and
watching if Hollywood would cast aside it’s obsession with size
zero and embrace a healthy normal sized woman would be a
more real life, pertinent version of “Ugly Betty”, don't you
think?
