This racism is killing me...

You know... I usually don't write my own blogs on Shine. But I had to write about this.
I'm sooo shocked, on how many racist are on shine. I just read a comment and this lady says:
"Why would anyone want to act or talk black"...

Exact words. Ignorant man. I've even read things where men are like, "The black woman look is so unattractive".
Or another' "If black people hate white people so much, why wouldn't they want to be segregated?"
All black people do not act like what you see on T.V. I work, I'm not on welfare. I don't go around bouncing my ass on the top of a car with 30 inch rims.  We are an educated group of people.

If you want to go there lets not forget about how white women are potrayed in media...

i too get angry at the ignorance of so many others. people perpetuate so many disgusting stereotypes and whatnot that it just becomes natural for people to say things they don't know much about. i'm asian american and i hear so many many pretend to talk Chinese, stretch their eyes out, ask me idiotic things. some people have called my cousin an "eggroll" it's hurtful. no one realizes that their words and actions are painful.

america has come a long way. we've just elected our first black President, who is a wonderful, well educated husband, father and leader! hopefully we will continue to make strides toward people rejecting those stereotypes and discovering people without judging. i know that in my life i try to reject stereotypes and get to know the person. i don't judge people on what they do, or who they are. it's not up to me judge or criticize people. i just wish people could open up their eyes a little and realize that what they say and type are rude, disrespectful and ignorant.

but at least you know there are people who are still good in this world and are working towards a better future!

youre absolutely right about peoples ignorance. and its sad and disgusting. good point with the portrayal of white women! really though its too bad that anyone should be looked down on because of what they look like on the outside.. because you really cant judge a book by its cover!

I agree some people are just ignorant and i really think it has a lot to do with fear of the unknown, people like to judge and talk about things they dont really know about! And often times youll find that they were raised that way, there parents dont like blacks or whatever race for whatever reason. But those people are going to get whats coming to them because god doesnt like ugly and who are they to judge someone by the color of their skin!!!
