Very Cherre: A Post Workout Double Whammy

Is staying hydrated a battle for you? I find that I struggle to guzzle H20 all day, even though I know it's good for me. But I've found a solution that both encourages me to sip steadily and helps me feel better after a workout. Find out what it is, after the jump.

I've found a new use for juice! Most dieters shy away from juice because it can be high in calories and packed with sugar. In fact, I usually skip it in favor of plain water or tea. But juice isn't all bad: it has all of nutrients you'll find in fruit, and a small glass even counts as a serving of fruit. One nutritional downside to drinkable fruit is that it lacks filling fiber, so you won't be as satisfied by a glass of OJ as you would by an actual orange.

And while regular water is great for you--it can stop you from snacking, help you feel energized, and keep skin healthy--it's, well, boring. My fix? A splash of juice. It adds some flavor (to keep me sipping) and crucial nutrients too. Lately, I've been adding Very Cherre tart cherry juice to my water bottle and it's made me much more likely to finish off the whole thing. The flavor is similar to cranberry juice, and a little goes a long way.

The body-benefit? Research has shown that drinking tart cherry juice can help your muscles recover after a workout by reducing inflammation. Score! Hydration is also good for your body as you recover from a workout--so this may be the ideal after-exercise cocktail! How do you encourage yourself to drink more water? Have you ever tried tart cherry juice?
