Victoria’s Secret Model Finally Admits To Not Magically Losing Baby Weight
user
Victoria’s
Secret model Alessandra Ambrosia walked in the VS fashion show
four months after giving birth to her first child. And she looked
the sort of good that inspires teenage boys everywhere to steal
mommy’s catalog for, well, personal use. Given that most women
complain endlessly about the difficulty of losing baby weight
coupled with the fact that Ambrosia is clearly already genetically
blessed, her
claim that all she did was yoga once a week was a bit painful
to hear.
Well, women everywhere are now vindicated: Ambrosia has fessed
up to actually doing some work to get back into ridiculous shape.
Not only did she tell People.com that she had to
do a lot of cardio to shed the jiggle, she also admitted that
she stuck to a very healthy meal plan that included “like no sugar,
no bread” after her daughter Anja Louise was born in August ‘08.
Once-a-week yoga, my ass! We know it’s not nice to delight in
someone else’s dieting, but come on, she had this one coming.

Some people really do lose the weight that quickly just by breast feeding and following their everyday meal plan. Two of my friends who recently had babies were back to their pre-baby weight and shape within a month of giving birth. I actually know very few people who had difficulty losing the weight. Although some friends have noticed their hips are just broader than before or their cup size changed, the only ones I know who have had any issue are women who are older, very inactive or keep eating like they are pregnant after giving birth. Having a child isn't an excuse/reason to be/remain overweight.

Would anyone even believe that "once a week yoga" is the only thing she did to MAINTAIN her low weight before she became pregnant?

I lost my baby weight pretty fast without even trying. And if I had another baby I know I'd loose the weight fast(without even trying). I lost it all in like a month. Lots of women have fast metabolisms, not only models, ok.

Kudos for all the ladies that didnt have a problem losing thier baby weight. NEWS FLASH all women are different and yes some women do have trouble losing any type of weight. Everyone is different and not everyone has the perfect genes that allow you to have no strech marks or baby bulge. I think many women spend lots of time trying to lose baby weight just because they dont lose it in a month dose not mean they are lazy.

It took me nine months to gain the baby weight and nine months to lose it. I think that it is a good amount of time. Sorry some people cant just lose all that weight in one month. I think it is not healty. I dont care who your are.

Wow. I thought it was going to say she had liposuction or something. A diet and more exercise than she had claimed doesn't really deserve an OMG!!!

Come on, it's so catty to enjoy the fact that the girl had to work her butt off to get back into her jeans. I lost my baby weight in just two weeks after giving birth to my son without working out. You wouldn't beleive the catty comments I got. Come on ladies, have more class.

I gained 43 pounds, 38 pounds, 38 pounds and 60 pounds respectively with my four kids (the first three were all born in a 3 yr succession) and I lost 99% of the baby weight within a month or so, too, with the first 3. I breastfed all of mine and did no exercise other than keeping up with the babies I already had. I have a very fast metabolism, I guess. It took a little longer to lose the full 60# with the last one (he was nearly 10 pounds himself!), but it happened eventually. He's 7 now and I am back to being a size 4.
