What are the best diet slash nutritional slash supplemental slash healthy aids out there?

user

I have pretty much self imposed myself as a human lab experiment for the last few years.  Interesting to hear your thoughts though.  In now particularly order.
Best Diet Book - the Carbohydrate Addicts Diet.  Why?  Because it works off the Adkins low carb philosophy, DOES control cravings...yet is the most realistic sustainable diet out there....literally you could have a piece of cake EVERY day.
Best Fitness Book - Feed the Muscle Burn the Fat by Tom Venuto - by far the most no non sense book I have ever read.  He is clear, to get a great muscular toned physique is simple, but not easy!
Best nutritional bars - a tie between Lara Bar which by far most natural (some of the varieties have as little as 2 ingredients.....NO JOKE).  And then Kind bar, which is on of the best Australian imports to come out of Australia.  Not quite as natural as Lara bar but you can literally see the ingredients.  However Kind bar is slightly more delicious....hence the tie.  :) Best way to beat sugar craving - not alot of people know this, but eat directly from a bag of frozen fruit!  Particularly frozen mangos have a naughtily (I don't know if that is a real word) good tastes almost like your eating a delicious sorbet!
Best supplements - I have never used anything that actually made a significant difference.
Best advice - only follow the advice of an expert who actually looks like they know what they are doing!  They don't have to be Stallone, or Beckford, but there is something to be said for someone who can practice what they preach.  Because if they can't put into effect their own theories, then their theories are probably NOT realistic.  And if you follow a regimen that is not realistic, success is virtually impossible.
About myself, former certified personal trainer (lazy and let expire) who maintains 6 - 7% body fat.
