Actors always talk about the addition of fried foods, donuts and milkshakes to their diets when taking on the role of a heavier character. We'll admit that while packing on pounds for a paycheck does sound fun--not to mention delicious--to read about, we do not envy all the work it must take to get rid of the extra junk in the trunk, around the middle, under the arms, and everywhere else the flab likes to hang out. Now imagine having to do that three times! Sure, Zellweger has trainers and nutritionists to help her, but we can't imagine having your body weight fluctuate that much would be good for you.
A few questions though: The whole thing about "Bridget Jones's Diary" is that she's a little bigger and out of shape. Should Zellweger be forced to gain the weight again to earn her salary? Any fat suit and CGI combo is going to look ridiculously fake, and the first two installments wouldn't have been nearly as good if she'd cheated with a costume. Also, it seems that the actress may end up losing more weight than she really needs to after each film. That worries us a little bit.
What do you think about going the route of a fat suit? [E!]
