Wii Fit is living up to its name: One dude lost 15 pounds in 41 days
partner
I kind of
love scientific
experiments in closely monitored,
carefully guarded environments, because I'm seriously an armchair psychologist, but I also find that
real life trials are just as important. After all, we're not living in a hermetically sealed bubble (unless you are, and if so, um...hello!).
It so happens that this gentleman did an experiment, using his
Wii Fit like a piece of gym equipment each night and has lost
15 pounds in 41 days.
He promises that he didn't otherwise change his lifestyle whatsoever,
as he wanted to truly monitor how much effect the addition of the Wii
Fit would have on his weight and
overall fitness. As it happens, he also did a similar experiment using
Wii Sports
a few years ago and in the same time period, presumably under the same
conditions, lost 9 pounds. All of which makes me even that much more
interested in getting one of these little doohickeys in our house.
As long as it doesn't
repeatedly call me "fatso," we'll be fine.

I have a Wii fit and it does make your Mii reflect your actual weight. My poor husband was so upset because it made his Mii a bit pudgy. Thank God mine is relatively slim.
That being said, I like the Wii fit. The aerobic stuff is fun even if my timing sucks on step aerobics. I also like the yoga part because the Wii fit really helps me work on correct form. I'm already fairly fit so I don't think the Wii fit will help me lose weight but it is a good way to get some exercise on the days I'm not very motivated. I always end up doing more than I plan on doing.

I have one, and although I haven't lost a lot of weight (I recently changed jobs, and I'm a lot less active at my new job) I feel really good about myself, and am performing much better in the sports that I play.

The Wii itself is awesome! But when I heard about Wii Fit, I was skeptical. I reserved it anyways and have been "playing" it ever since! I haven't lost a ton of weight, just 5lbs, but I have lost inches which people seem to notice more. I'm starting to tone up all over the place! I am very pleased but I know my other games miss me. It's all for a good cause so I HIGHLY recommend it for anyone!

I love my Wii.
Haven't played wii fit yet, but I bought mario & sonic olympics, and we are all sore from playing.
Great workout, and a ton of fun.

They are very hard t ofind and Wal mart has almost stopped carrying wii fit. I looked around and they are available on Ebay, Amazon.com, and the Wiiworld store.com (which is where I bought mine). Be prepared to pay a higher price than the 79.99 original price. They range from $120-$200. But are still worth the money if compared to a gym membership or heavy piece of home exercise equipment. All the websites will ship worldwide! Good Luck! And enjoy!!!

My 5 year old son just loves the idea of a video game, and after seeing so many kids fall prey to non active video gaming, I decided the Wii would provide him with the coolest game on the market, and me a piece of mind knowing my son has to be active in order to play the video game. I ended up purchasing the Wii Fit bundle (yoga mat, platform, Wii fitness trainer, and Wii fitness) Ive been doing it for 6 days now, and have already lost 4.5 lbs. havent changed allot in my diet so far, but I dont eat nearly as much as I did before. I highly recommend this product.
