Working out w/ Bob Harper -- motivation to lose weight!

user

Since I know the producers of the Biggest Loser, and am a huge fan of the show, I was given a chance to work out with Bob Harper on camera last winter.

You can read my full blog post over at Yahoo! TV, but I thought you'd enjoy watching me almost pass out.

For those of you who think the workouts can't be too hard because the contestants are so large...  WRONG!  Seriously -- I struggled working out with Bob for an hour.  And the cast does this 6 hours every day.

When you watch this, you need to know I was a college athlete many years ago, and when this was filmed I had been doing a bootcamp for 2 months... I was overweight, but not in truly bad shape like most of the contestants.  So if I struggled this much, imagine what these contestants go through when they first hit the ranch.

Bob is amazing -- and this experience helped motivate me to where I am now -- 50 lbs lighter, and a whole lot happier and healthier.  If I can do it, so can you.

I have an amazing trainer and group of friends in my 3X a week bootcamp who have helped encourage me through this process (my goal is to lose roughly 40 more lbs in the next 6 months).  I'll be writing more about my experience, and if you want any special tips, let me know.

PS.   I was reading InStyle mag recently, and up front they had the section where users write in about topics -- this month's was guilty pleasures... One woman wrote about how she sits on her couch eating dinner while watching the Biggest Loser.  Well, lots of Americans do that!  But don't let it be a guilty pleasure...  Let it motivate you, PLEASE.
