My mom have tried using spider repellant over and over again, but they just keep coming; it's like they actually enjoy the stuff.
We even tried covering the floor vent, located in the hallway(their entry way), with towels or old sheets that is bathed in pesticide, and yet they still are determined to get inside.
So in protest that I will not take this anymore, I began decrease my chances of getting bitten by killing any spider that is found hiding amongst my belongings.

Report AbuseYou need to call in a professional. You can't risk a spider bite getting infected.. That's so sad.

Report AbuseBelieve it or not Pine-Sol works .... you take a cloth and sort of soak one end of it and swab the vents and the windows sills and the corners of your room or rooms .... swab down any areas you think the little critters or getting in or living ... they don't like the pine sol smell ... it does not kill them unless you pour it directly on them and they will stay away!
I hope that works for you!

Report AbuseIf you need some emergency relief, before you go go bed, spray yourself with some off insect repelant.

Report AbuseI don't know what to do about spiders and everything suggested is worth a try but I would like to question the first solution. Does that mean you would not find any bugs in pine trees?

Report AbuseI had a problem with spiders in one college apartment. I'd find them on the walls and ceilings daily. Being terrified of spiders, this was a problem. I finally coudn't take it anymore when they started turning up in the shower and in my waterbed. I finally convinced the landlord that we needed to have a professional come spray when he woke up with a spider in his bed upstairs. The service sprayed my apartment inside and out once. That took care of the problem inside. I did have to call them back to do the outside a second time (free of charge) because there were more spiders. After a second time, the problem was taken care of. The professional spraying was worth it. I've also been told that garlic bulbs help, and coating the window sills with a spray that Brookstone used to sell also helped.
