Pottery Barn continues is foray into sustainable and natural products with it's
'Botanica'

classically-styled line
eco-friendly and built to last. The sofa,
chair and ottoman feature kiln-dried hardwood frames from forests
certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (fsc), recycled steel
springs, foam cores made from 20-30% soy-based materials, cushions
stuffed with recycled plastic fibers, organic cotton upholstery and
more. Easy on the eyes and the pocketbook, 'Botanica' is a comfortable

Going Green seems to be everyone's call tag these days. So many major companies have joined the bandwagon and are spending millions of dollars on advertising how environmentally friendly they are. I love that there is a serious "Green" movement happening in America. Its about 20 years overdue, unfortunatley, but its so encouraging that folks are sitting up and taking notice.
Everyone can participate in the green movement in a small way or a big way.
As an interior designer, I can now offer my clients everything from furniture, to fabrics, to paint, to flooring, lighting, cleaning products, well...the list goes on and on. There is no longer an excuse to not do your part for the environment.

I agree with the other interior designer, but I have found that green does come with a price! The fabrics at the Design Building have gone up considerably in price especially the eco friendly lines, even the furniture at ABC which is organic is very expensive, I am glad that Pottery Barn is giving the public something affordable that is good for the environment. I am glad that I still have some clients that feel that the extra expense is worth is in the long run, I hope the same thought catches on to others. Also remember, antiques are a recycled good, so please purchase them and save a tree! T&C Interiors
