Clifton Table Lamp from William and Sonoma

In terms of overall style for the money Williams-Sonoma Home is probably my favorite chain, but their prices are always just a smidgem on the high side. That's why God invented sales, you say? Agreed. They're having one right now and I think this polished steel lamp looks mucho chic-o for $179.99 (originally $295):

I love everything about it except that little conical piece at the top. Seems like the hardware should begin there or else it needs another...(whatever you call that washer thingee between the sphere and the rectangular prism).
