What's on sale: Cheap(er) seats

When having people over for dinner or drinks, there always seems to be a shortage of places to sit. Now, you won't have an excuse to make your least favorite friend stand.

Okay, seriously now, people at Shine must make damn good salaries to be always posting about expensive things that the rest of us wouldn't look once at! If this site is supposed to be for women and for women who make decent salaries, shouldn't you people be covering things that most ordinary women can afford? This is like the expensive designer clothes that most of us wouldn't buy or wouldn't want to buy! Get real Shine!

    Hey there,

I totally hear where you're coming from, but I think if you look around, you'll see that not everything on Shine falls into the "expensive" category. We try to mix it up, knowing that there are people of all budgets and financial situations reading the site—and that you don't have to actually buy something to be inspired by it. Maybe that green DWR chair would trigger a desire to spray paint a cheaper chair bright green—who knows? We also post about things you can make at home for pennies, although not everyone wants to go the d.i.y. route. Bottom line: if you keep an open mind, we'll keep trying to cater to lots of different budgets. Thanks for reading!

eBay is a MUCH place to shop. Also try Target & WalMart for stylish furniture. The featured above is overpriced & ugly !!!!!!!!
