You may not be brave enough to dress like her, but Carrie's all-grown-up apartment is surprisingly subdued (but still chic, of course). Here are a few ways to incorporate the look of her Manhattan home into your own. Jeremy Conway, Sex and the City's production designer, recommends starting with the walls. Carrie's are a soft shade of celery green washed with an iridescent lavender glaze.
Martha Stewart for Valspar's Ultra Premium Spring Lawn 6006-10A is a great base for creating a similar wall color.

All of the furniture in Carrie's apartment has a flea market feel, but its key pieces can be found (well, approximations of them) in stores near you. The mission-style "Aidan" meets a distant cousin in Target's Mission Easy chair. The frame is made of rubberwood and wood veneers, and the upholstery is dark brown leather. $199.99, target.com
Fittingly, Room & Board's Bradshaw coffee table (yes, you read that right...it is called the Bradshaw) shares the same Danish modern lines as the original and is hand-crafted from solid wood (walnut, maple or cherry). $749-$849 depending on choice of wood, roomandboard.com
Finally, a pair of matching floor lamps go a long way toward unifying a mixed-bag of a room, and wood bases give them a warm, homey feeling. Target has a similar version to Carrie's for $140. If you want the wider, more dramatic shades in the room above, you can always swap this lamp's shade out for one like this 9x16-inch taupe linen drum from Lampsplus.
