$5 Christmas gifts

Some of the ladies from the small gym I attend are having a holiday lunch. The woman hosting it also brought up the idea of everyone bringing $5 gifts so we could all put them in a bag and each pick one. My problem is, what the heck can you get for $5 for people you've only known for a couple of weeks that isn't cheap or tacky? I've been combing Shine's Holiday gift guide, but I haven't found anything appropriate for $5. Any thoughts?

    Superlativity!

    Hi there, girlie.

Let me know how the hair removal system is. Me, I will stick with waxing. The secret to that is , an hour before you wax/are waxed, take a pain killer - - makes the process easier, trust me.

Otherwise, how are things with you? Have you done your holiday shopping yet?

Fragrant liquid soap, or plug-in fragrance from Bath & Body Works.

A book . . often used books look brand new, or some good books are on the clearance table at a book store.

Candle. Once I bought an inexpensive cup & saucer, filled the cup with melted wax & fragrance & wick, glued the cup to the saucer and gave it as a gift. Photo frames are nice and often on sale at Hobby Lobby.

    Hi Buddy!

You know what I'd do, I did this for my best friends birthday. Go to www.freewebs.com and you can make free websites. Name it something that has to do with that person like mine was for my friend Hannah so the website was called www.happybirthdayhannahmango.com. She loved it and it was fun creating a website, otherwise I'd say bar soap, lotion and maybe you could make something. That's what I'm doing for Christams. Hope to see you soon!

It's a beautiful thought. If they are going to be done on a grab bag

like system, they whatever you buy may begoing to somebody else anyway.

The thought behind what you are doing is waht really counts. I would

be happier with a peace of paper from your heart, than a jewel from the

someone that gave with ill intent. So just folow what your heart tells

    you to do.

I would say a gift card from star bucks would be perfect. I don't drink coffe from there or any place really, but I hear they are good =)

    Hey Superlativity!

    Merry Christmas = =

Sorry I didn't see your question about the $5 gifts...I'd have dropped in a $5 Starbucks or Caribou Coffee gift card. Maybe Mickey D's. I totally understand your quandary, however, I hope you had a great time at lunch.

I will be back on Friday - - til then, have a wonderful day with friends & family, and I hope you got all you wished for and more!

    Much love,

    Mocha Mama.
