Are We Too Info Saturated? (or ...why I am constantly amused...)

OK - I , clearly, should not read as much news from all over the world as I do....It shakes and restores my faith in mankind (globally) all at the same time.... and let's face it, that just confuses me.

Allow me to illustrate:

File under "Well, DUH!!" - Drinking too Much Soda Can Kill You

File under "Really, Dude???!" Guy Walks off Jury Duty. Says He's Bored.

File Under " I'm Genuinely Frightened" National secrets are super safe. Unless there's construction going on.Then anyone can get to them.

On a more positive note:

File under " Walkin' the Talk" Of COURSE I got all these guys to all agree... I'm Obama, bee-atch.

On a sillier note:

File under "Ummmm....I got nothin'." Austin Woman Nurses over 1000 Possums (....and she's SINGLE, fellas!!)

So here are my questions: How much is too much? Are any of the stories listed above actually "news"?
Are we as a society now programmed to look at news as entertainment?
(let's be honest - the stories  listed above are pretty darned entertaining)
What do you think?

    Hi 88Gypsy,

    Melissa

    News? yes.

Newsworthy?..................Only if the "programming" of society is

successful.(I'm immune, I'm a real blonde, and get reelie sillie when someone trys to put something in my head!)

    Entertaining? Some giggles, yes.

(hypokalemia) was misspelled by the advertiser in the first "add".

    Correct info is preferable.

    Most info is laughable.

    More mirth 2 u!
