Breast Cancer Awareness, March of Dimes, United Way - IN THE OFFICE~

Well well well, it's that time again in the office.. time to get all of your monies together to support your favorite non-profit organizations. The most popular are Breast Cancer Awareness, March of Dimes, and United Way... BUT WAIT.....

Here is the my vent-ful truth. Why it is the "right" thing to do and it should  make you feel better as a person to support these non-profit organizations. People in the workplace tend to beg for this money back to back up to 3 times a month. Last month at my office it was support the March of Dimes, Blue Jeans for Babies, by buying a $20.00 sweatshirt, this month (well October) it's Breast Cancer awareness pins for $5.00 and United Way is in November, for $$$ .

Sooooo why is it that when you tell your over zealous co-worker no thank you, I would not like to buy an armband, sweatshirt, ribbon etc...  YOU ARE LOOKED AT AS AN UNSUPPORTIVE CHEAP BAD GUY. and someone had the nerve to tell me, "it's for a good cause" .. I said well B@$^ u add my $20.00 for me. Of course that didn't go over well, and why did I get so snappy, was it because this idiot doesn't know what's in my pocket and assume's that I dress a certain way so I must be financial. Or is it because EVERY BODY IN HERE WAS SUCKERED INTO BUYING ONE. and I am the only one sitting here with a button?

Well I'll tell you what Shine readers~ I will not be buying anymore non-profit things this year in fact I am the non-profit so send all proceeds to me, so I can have a little change in my pocket until next month.

Forever Jazzy*

I may not donate to breast cancer charities, but can help in other ways. I click onto The Breast Cancer Site, where my click can allow a woman to get a mammogram. Buying groceries in pink packaging, or wearing pink jewelry and/or clothing bought for the cause can also help. Advocating for better breast cancer care, research, and treatment also makes me feel like I'm making a difference.
