Brown bagging in style: snackTAXI reusable bags
user
Before we all suffocate in a sea of plastic, let's give three
cheers for Erin Kelly-Dill of Western Massachusetts. This inventive
mother of three realized she was using more than 500 disposable
sandwich baggies a year and vowed to put a end to it all by
creating
snackTAXI.
We were alerted to
snackTAXI by a friend of Daily Grommet and now they're in all
our kitchens at the ready for last minute summer picnics,
back-to-school, and taking to work. They're cute, they're
reusable, and they're dishwasher safe.
The bags, in three sizes, are put together by a team of local
sewers and they come in plain or printed fabric that can withstand
the wear and tear of the lunch box crowd. SnackTAXI is a great idea
for birthday gifts, teacher gifts, or for your girlfriend, who in
these Spartan times, has become a die-hard brown-bagger.

Very smart idea! Will definitely save on the pocketbook now that I'm making lunches for myself and my husband.

I agree jedidrummerswife - we've all been brown-bagging in my family. I like these because they've got everything from the plain, subtle black for my husband, to the trendy styles (for me), and of course, as you'd expect the race cars, dinos, etc. for the kids. Definitely works for all ages. Let me know what you think if you give these a try - Jeanne @ dailygrommet
