Report AbuseDear Denise, I am so sorry to hear about your mom and the tragedy that has fallen upon your family. First of all, I want you to know that you are in my prayers and although I write to you and try to console you, I know that unless a person is in the situation, they can never truly know the pain of another person. I would like to ask you if you are relgious? Also, do you have any brothers or sisters? or does your husband?

Report AbuseNot to sound rigid but it's not going to be okay. This is tragic time for you and your family and friends. Look in your phone book or call upon your community for support groups and the like, to help aid your family in the matter.

Report AbuseI lost my mother to cancer and it took the County Hosp nearly a year to diagnosis it after I told her why she looked yellow. # 1/2 weeks after the doctors told her cancer, she passed quietly in her sleep. 6 years later, my beloved step-father passed from cancer. DOG GONE IT - find a cure!
Now, advise for you. Local drug stores carry Dramamine for travel sickness - you don't need a RX. It will help when you reach the stage of hysterical crying like I did. As far as your son seeing you cry - what's the imbarassment? you care deeply. Teach him to care by letting him see you hurt. Talk to him as a adult in a smaller body. This is life changing for him too. Today,at 35, my son is embarassed at how much he cares about me but I think it is healthy to care for your folks. It's those who don't that I worry about - and those who can't. She has been blessed, you have been blessed, now enjoy what time is left and KNOW the soul never dies, it only passes to another realm. You'll see her again, this is not goodbye ... my prayers are with you. Please, BELIEVE, and it will be easier for all of you.
