Charitable Gifting 101

<p>In light of the current economic situation, more people are forgoing material gifts to <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/12/18/AR2008121803617.html?hpid=topnews">make donations</a> in honor of their family and friends this year. Talk about an awesome idea. Not only can donations <strong>make a big difference</strong> in people&#39;s lives (and leave the recipient and donor feeling good); <strong><a rel="nofollow" href="http://feedroom.businessweek.com/index.jsp?fr_story=56dd22a2f2bd8b6cbb06a2945838b9d4616ffc99">charities have been hit particularly hard</a></strong> by the recession, which means they need all the help they can get to keep doing good.
