thing holding people together, preventing relationships from
fracturing, and holding people
to society and that we should oppose the imposition of order and
coherence of the state. I believe in the mom and pop shops of
America. Could the Democrats and Republican parties ever except the
dreams of America and believe in equality and Egalitarianism? Is a
more Egalitarian society what we all would dream of in the real
world? We are stuck in this battle of the wits with the Government
because they let big business run the health insurance provider
industry along with the pharmaceutical industry. There are
conservatives that believe that Egalitarian dreams are dangerous
and would lead to a fall of our nation as they try to socialize
medicine, and merit over taxation with cries that It is simple
justice for all Americans to have basic civil rights. It is how the
civil rights are defined, in my opinion, are the reasons that we
are debating the issues. I believe in Equal rights for everyone,
but why does this mean that we have to be labeled a Socialist or
Egalitarian Society?
I as a Republican , am guilty of standing firm to the fact that I
do not want to be told how, when or where and have little room for
the ideal of change to this new world order. Does this make me
guilty of not wanting change? I believe in freedom at all cost. An
Egalitarian Society how ever Communist or Socialist we view it
means Equal rights and Justice for All regardless of status. There
would not be an upper or middle class anymore. We would be taxed
the same as the rich and have the same benefits even if we could
not afford them. We would also be punished for this equality if we
could not pay the higher taxes and pay the premiums to keep the
equal Healthcare benefits. We hear the cries of the democracy that
“ We can’t fix healthcare overnight.” Liberals are in fear of
reaching out for being called socialist. We are reading about this
everyday. This is one reason why we fought the “ Cold War.”
President Eisenhower was one of the first presidents to implement
protecting our nation from being a Communist or Socialist Society.
Then, in the 1960’s JFK stood firm against the Soviet union and
Fidel Castro of Cuba. Every plan in action for healthcare, from on
high, is being zoned as a Socialist decision.
Could we ever support a Conservative Plan like“The Single Payer”
plan they have in Canada? This plan has bipartisan support, though
I am sure the liberals love it, it was drawn up by the
conservatives. The Single- Payer Health Care Plan is often
introduced as one way to offer up universal healthcare. This is a
term we use to describe Doctors being paid by a single fund either
by the government or by a publicly owned agency that would be
regulated by law. There are types and variations of single-payer
health insurance programs to consider as well as The Method of
Implementation, the intent which is to balance the risks, and the
moral hazards that arise stemming from the quantity vs. quality for
which hospitals may get paid. We have heard the stores of The
cancer patient that was denied treatment because of her insurance
company.
How can I change? I was raised to believe in America. I want to
come together as a society without the fear of turning into a
Socialist nation but It scares me. Is a dreaming to reside in a
more egalitarian society really that bad? Could we come together as
a nation- “ One Nation Under God”, without being confused as being
a Communist or a Socialist Society? If we could all come together
as one nation with out the worries of the whose who of the right
winged-republican or the lefty- liberals, we may just see a great
nation accomplish what all of the other nations have preceded to do
before us. If a more Egalitarian Society is an a doctrine of Grace
and equality, as it is defined, then why is it crushing the
American dream?
Seven problems that have to be addressed and overcome before we can
decide on a plan that will
bond us together as a society in this decision are:
• Balancing lifetime risks and expenditures
• Lower administrative costs
• Tackling of moral hazard
• Avoid problems associated with medical underwriting
• Introduce Universal health care
• Avoiding Medical Bankruptcies
• Encourage preventative medicine
State proposals
California's Legislature has twice passed a state-level single payer bill, SB 840, "The California Universal Healthcare Act" (authored by Sheila Kuehl), in 2006 and again in 2008. Both times, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger vetoed the bill. State Senator Mark Leno re-introduced "The California Universal Healthcare Act" again in March 2009, newly renumbered as SB 810. SB 810 is set for its first legislative hearing on April 15, 2009.
In April 2008, the Illinois House of Representatives' Health Availability Access Committee passed the single-payer bill HB 311, "The Health Care for All Illinois Act, favorably out of committee by an 8-4 vote.
Several single-payer referendums have been proposed at the state
level, but so far all have failed to pass: California
in 1994, Massachusetts in 2000,
and Oregon in 2002.

Why Did We Fight the Cold War?
By: Richard Geno
We paid a tremendous price - both in people and treasure - to
preserve our freedom-oriented system of government. After all of
that sacrifice, we now have one of our country’s major political
parties wanting to
implement the very system we fought so very hard to avoid. Taking
advantage of difficult financial times, the Democrat Party now
wants to fundamentally change our system of government in order to
“spread the wealth around.”
The United States was founded on the private enterprise system where all resources are privately owned. Adam Smith, in his book “The Wealth of Nations,” indicated that private interests would promote the social interest. For over two hundred years, the United States has created more wealth than any other country by organizing and allocating economic resources based on free markets and individual property rights. Not only has this system provided an exceptional lifestyle for Americans; but it has also enabled us to feed much of the world, and provide an improved standard of living for every person on earth.
Conversely, Communism is a socioeconomic structure that promotes the establishment of an egalitarian and classless society based on common ownership of the means of production and property.
Senator Barack Obama’s policies are communist, pure and simple.
Recently, he has advocated his version of
the Karl Marx Communist Manifesto of “from each according to his
ability, to each according to his need.” With
the collusion of the media, history has demonstrated that these
communist societies have led to totalitarian
states. Senator Obama is doing everything to assure that as well by
training, funding and working closely with organizations like
ACORN. He has called for a national citizen military force. He has
sent government agents to intimidate American citizens who have
said they don’t agree with him, and to those will not vote for him.
He also tried to use the offices of state Attorneys General to
silence any opposition or dissent. This sounds remarkably
like Joseph Stalin’s Soviet Union.
Here are just a few of his communistic proposals:
* Universal guaranteed health care
* Free college tuition
* Universal national service similar to what is practiced in
Cuba
* Wage Insurance where dislocated workers will be supplemented by
the government to their old levels
* Free Child care and universal preschool
* Increased earned income tax credit for the working poor
Nancy Pelosi has said, “We need to work toward the goal of
equalizing income in our country, and at the same time limiting the
amount the rich can invest.” When asked how these new tax dollars
would be spent, she replied, “We need to raise the standard of
living of our poor, unemployed and minorities. For example, we have
an estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in our country who need
our help along with millions of unemployed minorities. Stock market
windfall profits taxes could go a long way to guarantee these
people the standard of
living they would like to have as Americans.” This is classic
Marxism.
We may be facing the first democratically elected Communist government in world history.

Why does change mean that Liberal Egalitarian Democrats are
Communists?
Why can we not work just work together for a Greater
Society?
Why is it an " all or none" mentality with
us?

Dangerous Egalitarian Dreams
by John Kekes
The most celebrated public philosophers of our time—our Rousseau
and Voltaire, so to speak—are John Rawls and Ronald Dworkin.
Prophets of a non-Marxist socialism, they provide the rationale for
the domestic agenda of the left wing of the Democratic party, and
they are in large measure responsible for the Left's remarkable
success in occupying the moral high ground. They have convinced the
nation's elites that it is a matter of simple justice for our
society systematically to deprive the large majority of citizens of
a sizable portion of their legally owned
property to benefit a much smaller minority—an Orwellian
redefinition that mocks as well as violates justice. In
their egalitarian philosophical system, there's no need to
debate the merits of progressive taxation, anti-poverty programs,
socialized medicine, affirmative action, and welfare legislation: a
society that lacks them is, by definition, not a just society.
◘
The impassioned egalitarian rhetoric that asserts this supposed
obligation cows many people into acquiescence. But no such
obligation exists, and the appeal to it is absurd, because it
requires the equalization of the property
of rapists and their victims, welfare cheats and taxpayers,
spendthrifts and savers. No reasonable person can
believe that we are obliged to treat the moral and immoral, the
prudent and imprudent, the law-abiding and the criminal with equal
consideration. While we may have an obligation to help those who
are poor through no fault of their own, it is absurd to suppose
that if, as a result of bad choices, people find themselves below
the poverty
level, then it becomes the obligation of the government to help
them by confiscating a considerable portion of the property of
everyone else.http://www.city-journal.org/html/11_4_urbanities-dangerous.html
We have come to accept and understand Obama’s Robin Hood mentality to a certain extent, other wise so many Americans would not have voted for him, but when we have to treat rapists and their victims as equal I have to disagree and draw the line. I guess my Conservative views are just an American Dream.
Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger vetoed the bill in the state of California that was introduced to him as you
read above. How can we address this issue as a nation on a federal level, if at the state level, we will veto it
out right? Could the dream of a more Egalitarian Society be just a dream?
Could This be another dead in the water issue like same- sex
marriage? If this issue on universal healthcare
can not pass at the state lat the state level, how can we possibly
rely on our government’s bi- partisan’s
sophistry to get this passed on a federal level?
