Designing on a budget is really hard but I manged to redo my whole kitchen, including transforming old countertops to painting the cupboards, and doing a makeshift backsplash on less than----$30-! You can, too, if you are thrifty and have the imagination. Here, I used granite designed shelfing paper. I did the backsplash and yes, even covered my countertops. (Just be careful and use cutting boards at all times and pot holders for things that are hot.) You can change the look with other designs. Just peel off whenever you need to. I got the paint on sale, discontinued or colors that someone else didn't care for, at a discount, and with this I painted the cupboards, the walls, and even my landlord and mother-in-law was impressed and in awe! Budgeting for designs, and things to improve on in a rental is hard but doable! And I have a lot more ideas...One step at a time.
