Do We Celebrate Our Pets Birthday???

user

Do we celebrate our pet's birthday??? We celebrate our pet's everything! I had a pug named Charlotte, and she had just about everything a dog could have. She had her own set of drawers to keep her clothes in. She had shoes, sunglasses, paw block (it protected her paws from the hot sand and asphalt) and she had her own bright yellow rain slicker!.She had it all She had a whole assortment of costumes that she wore Halloween, Christmas and Easter. When she wasn't wearing the costumes she was dressed in street clothes. If anyone saw her without clothes you would swear she was naked! I have some really cool pictures with some expressions on her face that you knew she didn''t need to talk for you to know what she was thinking! We had a car seat in the car for her to ride in when we went to Savannah. I wish you could have seen the looks on peoples faces when they rode by and realized that it was a dog in the car seat. One time we went to the grocery store and took Charlotte with us. She was dressed in one of her outfits. It was winter time so we were able to leave her in the car. While checking out our groceries, the bag boy asked us if that was our car that the pug was in. We said yes and he said "well I wasn,t trying to be mean but when I first saw her, I thought that was the ugliest child I've ever seen!" My mom and I cracked up at the thought of him seeing Charlotte and thinking it was a child. He said he only realized it was a dog when he got closer to the car. I wonder how many people thought the same thing and felt sorry for us and her. Bless her heart, she died March 2008. I miss her every day. I had the most joy with her in our lives. But now my daughter has given us a grandbaby, and where Charlotte ened Mary-Grace took over. The light of my life, the pain in my (you know) bottom, that warm gooey feeling in my heart, and my reason for wanting to get home quicker. It's true what they say... when GOD closes a window HE opens a door...because he opened the door to my heart when HE gave us Mary-Grace...........
