Old window; drop cloth
Painters tape
Newspaper
Eco-safe paint stripper
Two fine synthetic brushes
Wood primer
Sandpaper
Paint
Two cabinet knobs
Adhesive tape
Picture-hanging kit
Directions
1. Place a drop cloth under the frame and remove any pieces of
hardware. Protect glass with newspaper affixed with painters
tape.
2. Remove layers of old paint with an eco-friendly paint stripper;
follow manufacturer's directions on the label.
3. Working with a clean, dry frame, brush on a coat of primer.
Follow directions for drying time and reapplication. Allow the
frame to dry. If dark spots bleed through, apply another coat of
primer, but sand down any rough spots first. Remove dust, then
apply second coat of primer and allow to dry.
4. Apply a light coat of paint with a clean brush. Let dry, then
rub lightly with fine sandpaper. Remove dust, then apply one more
coat of paint. Let dry.
5. Drill holes for knobs on the bottom corners of the frame and
attach.
6. Enlarge pictures or artwork to size of window panels and affix
with tape.
7. Attach the wire from the picturehanging kit to the back of frame
according to the manufacturer's directions.
