Fancy Mouse???
So, I have two pet fancy mice, Loren and Quincey. Both are male,
and Loren is an albino mouse and Quincey has black fur. Today,
when cleaning their cages, I noticed that Loren's ear was
clawed at the bottom edge of his ear, and his other ear seemed
slightly scabbed/crusted. It was hard to get a good look at
them but it's apparent that he's been clawing them. They
look pretty bad, & I think it's fairly recent. Luckily, he
is acting fine and still running on his wheel and everything, but
I'm not sure what to do, this is my first pair of mice. They
are in separate cages because they would not stop attacking each
other, and it got so bad that Quincey has scars from it so they had
to be kept separate. They both have wheels and everything to
run on, so I think boredom can be ruled out. I'm
thinking Loren might have ear mites or fleas, even though we keep
them clean and I don't see any fleas nor do I see him scratch
alot. I read somewhere that putting a light amout of Vaseline on it
might help, but does anyone have any other suggestions to what I
should do?
