Five great homemade gift ideas

<p>Some of the greatest gifts I have received have been things people have made for me. (Hint, hint, family and friends! You can save money on me!) I appreciate&nbsp; the time, effort, and creativity that goes into them, as well as the fact that the giver <em>made</em> the gift just for <em>me</em>.</p> <p>Of course, handmade gifts aren&#39;t great simply because they&#39;re personal. They are also a great way to go easy on the wallet, especially these days. Here are a few great gifts that even the artistically inept can make. Best of all, they don&#39;t require much time.</p> <ul> <li><a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.photoweights.com/paperweights_byshape_s/94.htm"><strong>Photo paperweights</strong></a>: I love making these because, well, who wouldn&#39;t love a one-of-a-kind paperweight? All they require is an &quot;empty&quot; paperweight, as well as a photo and/or some cool ephemera like buttons, glitter, or lace. <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.photoweights.com/paperweights_byshape_s/94.htm">Photoweights.com</a> has a great selection of paperweights in all shapes and sizes for <strong>under $10</strong>. They also come with easy-to-follow <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.photoweights.com/paperweights_using_photoweights_a/139.htm">instructions</a>.</li> </ul> <p><br><br><img src="http://media.onsugar.com/files/ons/250/2506232/50_2008/9e56426cfae836fc_butterfly11.larger.jpg" width="240" height="180"><br><a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="http://www.sweetfindsblog.com/files/ons/250/2506232/50_2008/de8e4342e862f2eb_IMG_1510.JPG"><img src="http://media.onsugar.com/files/ons/250/2506232/50_2008/de8e4342e862f2eb_IMG_1510.larger.JPG" width="180" height="240"></a></p> <p><strong><a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="http://www.sweetfindsblog.com/2555514">&nbsp;Continue reading ...</a></strong></p>

I don't plan on spending a lot of money on Christmas this year, but I will have to give out some descent gifts.
