Five great homemade gift ideas
user

Some of the greatest gifts I have received have been
things people have made for me. (Hint, hint, family and friends!
You can save money on me!) I appreciate the time, effort,
and creativity that goes into them, as well as the fact that the
giver made the gift just for
me.

Of course, handmade
gifts aren't great simply because they're personal.
They are also a great way to go easy on the wallet, especially
these days. Here are a few great gifts that even the artistically
inept can make. Best of all, they don't require much
time.

<a rel="nofollow"

paperweights: I love making these because,
well, who wouldn't love a one-of-a-kind paperweight? All
they require is an "empty" paperweight, as well
as a photo and/or some cool ephemera like buttons, glitter, or
lace. <a rel="nofollow"

has a great selection of paperweights in all shapes and sizes for
under $10. They also come with

I don't plan on spending a lot of money on Christmas this year, but I will have to give out some descent gifts.
