Freedom of Religion Isn't Always Observed, Is It?

Now I know I am going to be getting some comments about this subject. Now let me just say that I am speaking from MY experience, I do not speak for other people and I write this to let every one know what I think, I basically do NOT mean to offened people or their religions or beliefs and heritage, so there!

Now I would like to state: I AM WICCAN!!! No, wiccans do NOT worship the devil (we do not even fricking Believe in an ultimate Evil diety), it Is a religion, an Earth based one at that. Anyway, I was actually baptized Catholic when I was born. However, as I grew up, I changed and well...I dont believe in the catholic religion all that much. I am pro-choice, I dont care if gay people get married (I think if you love someone that much, fine, get married, I think it doesnt make a difference if you are attracted to guys or girls, I personally like dudes, haha) and I think that if stemcell research helps cure illnesses then the government should study it. Which, according to the Catholic religion, is against "God's" will.

Also, during Religion class at my old school, when my friend and I both said that we thought these things were okay and not terrible like the Catholic scripture says, our teacher just told us we were wrong with nothing to back herself up. I've stated my beliefs to many people, and they've done what my teacher did. Told me I was wrong. Furthermore, every weekend my mother makes me go to the Catholic mass (she still thinks Im catholic) and I've started to pay more attention to the readings, and I deffinetly dont believe in it. There is no proff that half of the people who saw visions actually saw them, all I'm saying is how do they know that he wasnt just having a siezure or an episode. Also most of the stories in the Bible were originally told by mouth, so anyones who has played the game telephone knows that the statement usually gets twisted and distorted.

I am typing all of this to inform people that Wicca is a Earth based religion that is open to every religion. And I do not understand why Christians and other religions say such bad things about us. All we do is celebrate the Blessed Goddess and her holy Consort, the God. And when you think about it, the Catholics belief that God is the father, son, and holy spirit, and Mary is the mother, daughter("everyone s God's child"), and technically "lover". However, the Wiccans believe that the Goddess is the mother, virgin, and crone and the God is the son, consort, and lover. To me, it seems that the religions are like opposites: Catholics favor men( only men can be priests, everyone God has givin a child -Mary had Jesus, Elizabeth had John, another girl had Jacob, her name I can not remember...I heard it like an hour ago..) while Wiccans favor women ( Wiccans believe that we all came from the goddess, and at ceremonies the preistess is the one who presides over it).

That being said, I dont understand why Wiccans are ostracized and why everyone is afraid of it.
